Privacy notice
This notice covers the Solvent waitlist, which is the only thing Solvent runs at the moment. We ask for an email address and use it only to tell you when your spot comes up. We don't send newsletters, sell or share your data, or use tracking cookies. Ask and we'll delete it.
Who we are
Solvent is built in London by Andrew Mazalkov. It isn't incorporated yet, and UK data protection law (UK GDPR) applies. Contact [email protected] or @getsolvent.
What we keep
- Your email address. This is the only required field. We check that its domain accepts mail, but we don't email you to confirm it.
- Anything optional you give us: a Base wallet address and a short note.
- Whether your invite code was valid (not the code itself), when you joined, and which version of this notice you saw.
- Signup counts by client type (for example "curl"), with no IP addresses or identifiers. IP addresses are held briefly in memory to stop abuse, and our host may keep standard request logs.
Why we keep it
To contact you about your spot, because you asked us to. The anonymous counts help us see where signup goes wrong (legitimate interests).
What's public
Your status page shows your handle, place in line, VIP status and join date to anyone with the link. It never shows your contact, wallet or note.
Who else sees it
We don't sell or share it. It's hosted on Railway, which may store it outside the UK under its standard data protection terms, and email to us goes through Namecheap. Backups are encrypted and kept private.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to remove it, or 12 months after we last heard from you.
If we offer you credit
Credit isn't part of the waitlist. A credit line needs more data, such as repayment records and a credit score that others can look up by wallet address. That's covered by the credit terms and privacy page, which you'll see before anything happens, and you can say no.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, at [email protected] or @getsolvent (include your handle). We'll reply within a month. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
